Planned Event Activities*:

  • Snow Sculpture Competition:  State of CT designated sanctioning event for 2019 U.S.National Snow Sculpting Competition.

  • Ice Skating Rink: Parks and Recreation to benefit from acquisition of seasonal ice skating rink.

  • Artist and Artisan Fair: Showcase and market for skilled artist and artisans.

  • Food Trucks: variety of “winter based” foods

  • Beverages: variety of “winter based” beverages

  • Snowman Building: Businesses, teams and kids competitions

  • Virtual Winter Games: Video game based winter games in outdoor “living room”

  • Cross Country Skiing: Trail mapped

  • Snowshoeing: Trail mapped

  • Hayride/Sleigh Ride: Great Hollow Lake/Wolfe Park

  • Snow Ball: Pick up “baseball” type game

  • Snow Bowl: Flag football type scrimmage

  • Snow Balls: throw at Selectman

  • Sledding: hill for young kids

  • Restaurant Week: promotion with local restaurants not able to be food vendors at event.

*all events weather directed and subject to sponsorship funding
