Stranger Danger - Youth officers teach Stranger Danger to the elementary grade students about the safety in
dealing with strangers
Seat Belt Safety Campaigns Monroe Police, in partnership with State and Federal Law Enforcement Agencies
participates in programs to promote safety seatbelt usagefor adults and children.
D.U.I. Mock Crash at Masuk High School - Every other year, Monroe Police Officers along with Fire and EMS
personnel conduct a mock motor vehicle crash demonstrating the consequences involving intoxicated drivers. This program is offered during prom season.
Child Fingerprinting is conducted for parents to maintain a fingerprint record of their child. Bring your children to the station any time for fingerprinting services at no charge. Fingerprint records are kept by parents.
Firearms Safety - Freegunlocks are available at the Communications Unit in the main lobby of Police Headquarters.

School Resource Officer: The department has four police officers dedicated to performing duties in the schools where they serve as liaisons between the school faculty and staff, parents, students and police.
Are You OK? (RUOK?):
This service is an extension of the CAPS program. An automatic telephone dialing system phones senior citizens to check on their welfare.
Community Awareness Program for Seniors (CAPS):
The department and senior citizens of the town of Monroe have formed an alliance which coordinates activities for the well-being and safety of senior citizens.
A program designed to raise the awareness of children and adults to the potential hazards of internet use.
There are currently two officers patrolling the town parks and business areas.
Neighborhood Watch Program:
An alliance between the department and citizens of Monroe to make their neighborhoods safer.
