Reservations will no longer be accepted after Friday, November 6, 2009.  In order to make the program run as efficiently as possible, pickup dates will not be scheduled until the closing of the reservation period on November 6, 2009.  The program is NOT intended to be on a first-call, first-served basis. We will send you a letter in the mail indicating your date of pickup approximately one week prior to your pickup date.  Starting on Monday, September 21, 2009, the Department of Public Works will begin accepting reservations for the 2009 Dial-A-Dump program.  Reservations will be accepted until Friday, November 6, 2009.  Reservations can be made by e-mailing dialadump"AT"monroect.org or by calling 452-2814 from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Please leave your name (exact spelling), address and telephone number.  Email reservations will be confirmed within a few days.  However, due to the volume of telephone reservations, we are unabe to return calls. This program is free to the residents of Monroe.
Procedure:

The Dial-A-Dump Program is provided to residents annually. The program is NOT on a first-come, first-served basis; therefore, it is not necessary that you call the first day we start taking reservations. To run the program as efficiently as possible, we wait until we have acquired approximately 25-30 reservations in the same area of Town. We then send you a letter in the mail one (1) week in advance indicating the day and date of your pickup.

The letter also itemizes what is acceptable and what is not. Those items deemed unacceptable will be left at the curb to be disposed of by the resident. Please DO NOT put any of your items out until you receive the letter in the mail.  In the event of a snow storm and your items are at the curb, your items will be picked up as soon as possible thereafter.

This program is intended for large items that can not be disposed of in your regular trash.
