Mission Statement
The mission of the Monroe Economic Development Commission (EDC) is to develop goals, strategies and plans for attracting and retaining the appropriate mix of businesses to Monroe that will increase the tax base and employment opportunities, while maintainingthe rural character of the town.
The Monroe EDC carries out this mission by reviewing and evaluating proposed projects to determine their economic value to the town, lending guidance and support to prospective business owners and developers, and promoting the Town of Monroe within the state and surrounding communities.
