Mar 23 PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION TO HOLD A PUBLIC MEETING
The Planning & Zoning Commission will hold a public meeting on the DRAFT 2010 Plan of Conservation and Development (POCD) for the Town of Monroe. This meeting will be held on Monday, March 29th at 7:00 p.m. in the Library of Masuk High School located on 1014 Monroe Turnpike. The POCD draft is now available online and residents of Monore can download and print as necessary. Handouts will not be made available for the general public for cost reasons. Absentee Ballots for the April 6, 2010 Proposed 2010/2011 Annual Town Budget Referendum are now available in the Town Clerk’s Office. Those wishing to obtain an absentee ballot must come into the Clerk’s Office or complete an ED-3R absentee ballot application (the application can be obtained from the Clerk’s Office or from the Town Website) upon which a voter may designate a duly authorized person to personally hand deliver the ballot.
The Town Clerk’s regular office hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.~Monday through Friday. The Office will have extended hours for absentee voting on Wednesday March 31st until 8:00 p.m. and Thursday April 1st until 7:00 p.m.

To All Monroe Residents:
Please be advised that Great Hollow Lake entrance may be closed periodically due to safety concerns.
The lake entrance is not sanded or salted which creates very slippery conditions for vehicles and pedestrians. For the safety and well being of all residents and those wanting to use the lake for recreational purposes, please understand our parks staff do whatever is necessary to keep everyone safe.
