The Planning and Zoning Commission (P&ZC) is responsible for the physical, social and economic planning and coordinated development of the Town in accordance with the Town charter, Comprehensive Plan, Plan of Conservation and Development and State Statutes. The Planning and Zoning Commission prepares, adopts, and implements a Plan of Conservation and Development; reviews and recommends municipal improvements per State General Statutes; adopts and amends both zoning and subdivision regulations; and reviews and acts upon referrals from federal, state, and regional agencies.

Comprehensive Plan - Greater Bridgeport Region
Public Input Requested

Regional Planning Organizations (like the Greater Bridgeport Regional Council) are required by the State of Connecticut to prepare a Comprehensive Plan (or Plan of Conservation and Development) every ten years. Based on a strong foundation of community input, the Plan will guide the region’s governments as they make policy decisions on transportation, infrastructure, land use, sustainability, housing economic development and more.  Gathering input from residents, businesses, organizations and stakeholders within the Greater Bridgeport Region is key to this process.

Please complete the GBRC survey which can be accessed directly via http://www.hlplanning.com/portals/gbrc/project/questionnaires/

The interactive mapping section can be used to select points of interest and opportunities that should be included in the plan, http://www.hlplanning.com/portals/gbrc/project/smap-map-based-community-outreach/

The GBRC website is regularly updated with information about the plan and announcements of community meetings.
