Garder Road Bulky Waste Site
The Town of Monroe accepts the following items at the Bulky Waste Site located at 211 Garder Road near the intersection of Fan Hill Road:
- Leaves and grass clippings (No Charge)
- Scrap metal including stoves, washers, dryers, microwaves, water heaters, lawn mowers, snowmobiles, computers* (No Charge)
- Brush 3” and under (one ticket per car or pickup load, or $10 sticker for unlimited annual access)
- Large brush and wood up to 18” diameter or 4’ long (five tickets per load up to a 1-ton pickup truck; eight tickets per load for 1 ˝-ton dump trucks)
- Tires ($2.00 each)
- Propane Tanks ($5.00 each)
- Refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, and dehumidifiers ($15 per item to remove Freon)
*Computer monitors must go to Spring Hill Road Transfer Station
Tickets, which cost $6.00 each, can be purchased at the Monroe Town Hall, 7 Fan Hill Road, Room 215, between the hours of 9 AM and 1 PM Monday through Friday or at the Monroe Police Department on Saturday between 9 AM and 12 noon.
- Vehicle must be registered in Monroe.
- No commercial vehicles allowed.
- No mixed loads.
- No stumps.
- No demolition materials. (i.e. sheet rock, concrete, tile, shingles, toilets, sinks, etc.)
- Site Hours………Friday & Saturday from 10 AM to 3 PM
