Spring Hill Road Transfer Station

The Town of Monroe accepts the following items (with a ticket/tickets) at the Trumbull/Monroe Transfer Station located at 101 Spring Hill Road:

• Residential and commercial refuse.
• Mattresses & box springs
• Carpets
• Flooring underlay
• Upholstered furniture
• Insulation
• Linoleum
• Burnable wood (doors, windows, decking, plywood, wood shingles)
• Corrugated cardboard - free of charge
• Computer monitors and televisions

• Tickets can be purchased at the Monroe Town Hall, Room 215, between the hours of 9AM and 1PM, Monday through Friday or at the Monroe Police Department on Saturday between 9AM and 12noon. The cost of each ticket is $6 for every 125 pounds.
  Transfer Station Hours………Monday thru Friday, 7AM to 2:45PM, and Saturday 7AM to 11:45AM
• Tickets are required for all items, EXCEPT demolition material which is accepted only at the Trumbull Highway Garage (see Demolition below). 
• Tickets for DEMOLITION material must be purchased at the TRUMBULL Highway Garage located at 366 Church Hill Road Monday through Friday between 7AMand 3PM. The cost of each ticket is $10 for every 125 pounds.
  
• No railroad ties.
