UPDATE 5/26/06

A Friendly Reminder From The Town Clerk’s Office, June is Dog Licensing Month.

Town Clerk, Marsha Motter, reminds residents that dog Licenses for the year 2006 will be available at The Monroe Town Clerk’s office as of June 1st. The office will be open 9am to 5pm Monday through Friday. All dogs must be vaccinated against Rabies and owners submit a certificate to the Town Clerk when licensing their dog. Due to the increased workload the office will no longer be able to make telephone calls to the veterinarian offices to verify rabies vaccinations. Dogs who are being registered for the first time will require a spaying or neutering certificate if the dog has been altered.

Dogs that have been previously registered with the Town of Monroe may reregister by mail. If the rabies vaccination has expired a new certificate must be sent along with the proper fee. Fees are: Male or Female - $19.00 Neutered male or spayed female - $8.00

If application is being made by mail, make check payable to: Town of Monroe and please enclose certificate(s) of rabies vaccination and a Self-Addressed Stamped Envelope.

Mail to: Town Clerk, 7 Fan Hill Road, Monroe, CT 06468.

If you have any questions you may call the Town Clerk’s Office 452-2811.
