Are You OK? Telephone Reassurance Program

Program Description: Contacting an elderly, handicapped, or homebound person on a daily basis helps assure their well-being and gives them a feeling of security. This program is supported by TRIAD.

How It Works: Each day at a specified time, the system automatically makes computerized monitoring calls from the Police Department. Upon receiving a voice response, it delivers a short recorded message. If the subscriber doesn't answer after a preset number of call attempts, an ALERT is issued and a Police Officer is dispatched to check on the recipient's welfare.
This service is offered free to Monroe residents.

To subscribe, contact the Monroe Senior Center at (203) 452-2815 or the Monroe Police Department at (203) 452-2833.
