Parks & Recreation

Parks open - Parking restricted to Monroe residents and taxpayers.  Valid blue park sticker or proof of Monroe residency required for entry. (Driver's license, car registration, property tax bill can be shown to staff when visiting.)

Practice social distancing. Groups over 5 prohibited. 

Basketball courts and playgrounds are closed. No pickleball games allowed at this time, tennis is allowed.

Picnic areas are closed.

Fishing open, must have a valid State of CT fishing license for each person planning to fish upon entering.

No pets or bikes allowed around Great Hollow Lake or at the pool side of Wolfe Park. Pets and bikes are only allowed on the Rails to Trails path.

All recreation programs and activities are cancelled until further notice.

Transfer Station (Trumbull)

 

Open. Pre-purchase of dump tickets will NO LONGER be necessary at the Trumbull Transfer Station.  Monroe residents may enter once per day and all payment will be via credit or debit card at the station. Any existing dump tickets already purchased will be honored.
