I didn’t get my tax bill yet. When do I have to have the new sticker?
The majority of tax bills have been delivered; however, there could be some remaining mail yet to be delivered by the Post Office. All bills should arrive this week.
There will be a grace period until July 15, 2019 where the park will honor both the old, 2018 sticker and the new stickers.
In which tax bill will my sticker be inserted?
Park stickers have been inserted into the motor vehicle tax bills only.
What if I lease my vehicle and I don’t receive the tax bill?
A special mailing of park stickers to those who lease their vehicles is currently in the mail.
Why did I receive an extra sticker with “XXXXX” printed in the space for the license plate?
This is simply an extra sticker that has been voided. It can be discarded as it is not valid.
Please make sure the license plate number on the sticker matches the license plate on the car.
Why didn’t I receive a sticker for all of my vehicles?
Most residents will receive a sticker for up to four vehicles. Stickers were issued for passenger, combination, motorcycle, antique and handicap vehicles registered as of October 1, 2018.
If you registered a vehicle after October 1, 2018, you must bring a driver’s license and your new registration to the Tax Collector’s office or the Parks and Recreation office to receive a sticker.
If your vehicle is registered as “commercial,” stickers are not included in the mailing because most commercial vehicles are not allowed in the park.
If you are not receiving a motor vehicle tax bill from Monroe (i.e. your vehicle is not registered in the state), we have no way to automatically send you a sticker. You will need to contact the Tax Collector’s office at 203-452-2804.
